Local Backup with Disaster Recovery
EverSafe! Lite brings our EverSafe technology to a whole new market. Using a simpler, lower powered local device, EverSafe Lite brings the same powerful backup agent and Inverse Chain Technology at a price that smaller businesses can afford.
The Perfect Solution for Smaller Businesses
EverSafe! Lite was designed for ease of use and installation. It can be installed and backing up machines in minutes and utilizes a state of the art technology that dramatically simplifies the backup and recovery process. Our Inverse Chain Technology allows us to eliminate the inefficiency and risks associated with traditional incremental backup technology. Data is taken directly from your servers and converted and stored in the machine as a virtual machine file (VMDK). These files can be booted from a VMWare or Hyper-V server that you have on premise in the event your primary servers go down.
EverSafe! Lite gives you the peace of mind that the local backup images are also stored in two secure bi-coastal data centers should your local offices be knocked out. EverSafe! is an ideal solution for companies that want the security of the cloud but can afford some on-premise downtime in the event of a server failure at an affordable price
Unlike the full EverSafe! solution, EverSafe! Lite cannot locally run a clone of your servers or make a screen shot of your backups which automatically ensures that all of your backups are valid bootable machines.
Intelligent Business Continuity – The EverSafe! Lite Difference
EverSafe! provides smart continuity for your business to minimize down time. By using our proprietary Inverse Chain Technology, EverSafe eliminates the unreliability and complexity of tradition backup’s that use Incremental pieces that get re-assembled when you need to restore to a point in time. In these traditional solutions, if just one piece of an incremental backup is lost, all backups from that point on are useless. EverSafe stores your files natively in a Virtual Machine (VMDK) format as well so they can be brought up instantly when needed and without the long delays associated with virtualizing a backup image. Since each and every backup you make is a fully bootable image, you can quickly start up a clone of your down server locally on your spare hardware or in the cloud from virtually any point in time.
All Eversafe! Appliances can be managed from a centralized Web Browser interface. We can provide you with access to critical statistics while providing our service team with the ability to assist you with failover and other administrative tasks.
Advanced Deduplication and Compression
Information sent off-site is compressed even further using LZMA2 compression to least data usage and fastest transfer times. Advanced deduplication looks for identical files across all of your backups and actually only stores one version which can cut space and bandwidth utilization significantly.
eDiscovery gives EverSafe! Lite users the ability to search keywords within their backup data, emails, and attachments and review in an easy to read format. Powered by the industry-leading Kroll On-Track software, Power Controls is compatible with dozens of file formats and systems including Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint (with support for version 2013). Note-This is an optional cost feature on all units 1TB and smaller
EverSafe! devices support the latest standards and are continuously being updated. Every EverSafe! Lite device supports software RAID and 2TB+ Volumes including advanced format drives. EverSafe! devices also support GPT Partition formats including those using EFI Boot. Eversafe! is capable of backing up both physical and virtual systems with nearly any storage configuration. All EverSafe! devices regularly download and install updates in the background, ensuring that every device is always running the latest version.
Broad Operating System Support
Clients First EverSafe! supports a wide array of operating systems including Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 2008 and 7, nearly any Windows system still in production today. EverSafe! Lite devices are also capable of acting as a TimeCapsule, natively supporting backups from Apple TimeMachine. TimeMachine backups can be safely sent off-site to ensure maximum data integrity.
Better Bare Metal Restore
EverSafe!devices use a completely unique method for performing bare metal restores. Rather than use a limited restore environment that fits on a single CD, EverSafe! supports network BMR. The EverSafe! Device acts as a network boot server allowing the destination system to be booted using PXE Boot (Common on almost all systems newer than 2001). EverSafe! also supports restoring to smaller volumes, a feature absent in many competing products.
EverSafe! devices can even be joined to Windows domains, making it possible for users to access NAS shares using their Active Directory credentials.
